SMARTIE

One of our original horses of Empire Equestrian. He was purchased to be a companion to our two show horses. We are commonly asked if he is a baby horse, but he is in fact a miniature horse and fully grown! He certainly does not lack character and is quite mischievous. He keeps the herd in line and is best buddies with two full size horses here at Empire. Some day we may train him to pull a cart but for now he is used in our theory lesson, and summer camp programs.

Also known as "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", this amazing senior pony has taught many young equestrians the ropes of riding and horsemanship over the last decade. She is the calmest, most gentle horse we have ever known which makes her a wonderful pony to learn on and around. She has a long history of being a hunter pony, and trail pony extraordinaire. She loves to be groomed and enjoys trail walks through the fields!

Echo is one of our foundation lesson horses at Empire. She came to us as an unbroke, growing two year old and has since been trained in multiple disciplines by Kaitlyn. Echo has competed at A and B rated hunter/jumper shows at venues such as MREC and Thunderbird Showpark. She is a great pony to learn on and can also turn it up for our intermediate riders. She is a sweet mare who loves to be groomed and bathed. Her favourite pastime is grazing out in the back pasture with her best friend, Smartie.
RUBY

Ruby has been an amazing addition to our team. She comes with a trail riding and gymkhana background and loves to be doted on. She's been loving her new job as an English mount and has learned many buttons in the arena and enjoys taking riders through pole courses. She loves to hit the trails and enjoys a good thorough grooming.
HEMI

Hemi is a striking, versatile partner. He has been trained in both English and Western disciplines, but he absolutely loves jumping! He has shown in both the Hunter and Jumper rings with a lot of success. He enjoys being out on the trails and spending quality time grazing
with his buddies. Hemi is a great mount for our beginner and advanced riders, he caters to rider ability, and is always up for a new challenge. Hemi is very unique and actually has one brown eye and one blue eye! He is a very special gentleman on
our team!
DUCHESS

Duchess has been apart of our family and lesson string for many years at Empire. She is a very friendly, quiet mare who caters to all levels of riders. She is very smooth to learn how to trot on and she is quite athletic and has taken many riders into their first horse shows. She loves to jump, trail ride, and spend endless hours with kids at summer camp getting groomed, and bathed. She is a fabulous athlete and also had a beautiful buckskin colt prior to coming to us. She's always been a trusty friend and riding partner!

Dot is a lovely paint mare with a background in western disciplines. She is a forward, energetic mare looking for a challenge. Our riders have been training her under english tack and she is enjoying learning how to trot and canter over poles and has started over fences. She loves the trails and is a fun mount for the more experienced rider. We're looking forward to having her out in 2021 to debut her show career with our team!
SALLY

Gender: Mare We purchased this mare after a very successful show jumping career. Originally imported from Ireland, this phenomenal athlete worked her way up with levels with many local riders and found successes in the jumper rings all the way to the 1.30 ring. Retiring early from jumping, she moved into a new career producing Warmblood horses for sport. She has to date produced some very athletic offspring that we are certain will continue on to have successful careers. We are looking forward to meeting her future foals!

Lyla is the result of our first breeding venture at Empire Equestrian. She is sired by the stallion Lestat of Dreamscape Farm. She is out of our exceptional 1.30 mare Athena, who was sired by Canada. Lyla
arrived via Embryo transfer, and had a surrogate mother who carriedher and raised her. She is a lovely mover, very bright and loving. We are hoping to lightly start her under saddle in her third year, and hope her future holds some upper level jumping. She will hopefully also be a good candidate for embryo transfers in the future! Cosmo is another one of our fillies who was bred and raised at Empire Equestrian. She is sired by the lovely Dreamscape stallion, Checkmate. Her dam, Haute Cocoture (Coco)has been a fabulous children’s hunter/jumper horse for many years. Cosmo is very hunter in type and we can’t wait to see what type of an athlete she is when she gets started under saddle.

Charisma was purchased in utero from a breeder in Alberta. She is sired by Checkmate and out of an elegant dutch mare (Why Not G/Lorette) She has a very quiet nature, and we hope she will be an equitation horse once she isunder saddle and showing. She is a big mover with a lot of presence.

Merlot is by Diktator Van De Boslandhoeve, and out of our fabulous 1.30 Dutch Mare Wibiola H, “Sally”(Oklund/Equador) This gorgeous foal is an exquisite mover and has already shown us some upper level scope for jumping. She is quick, bright and very intuitive. This exceptional foal sold pre weaning to Vancouver Island. We are so excited to see what the future holds for her and her new owner!
